Awarded 3rd Prize — Through the Lens: Women in our Society, 2026
The First Weekend Without the Girls received 3rd prize in the Through the Lens – Women in our Society photography competition, organised by the National Museum of Resistance and Human Rights in Luxembourg.
The competition explored the experiences, roles and realities of women in Luxembourg and the Greater Region and was held in the context of the museum’s Women in War exhibition, featuring more than twenty years of work by American photojournalist Lynsey Addario.
The First Weekend Without the Girls
Caroline recently made a major life decision. The now more regular absence of her daughters weighs heavily on her in this new reality. This series portrays her on her first weekend without the girls after her husband’s move, navigating emotions, chaos, change, and adjustment.
